Versatile attacker DAN MOONEY joined Boston United in the summer of 2024, weeks after the Pilgrims had secured promotion to the National League. Ironically Mooney had been the man to directly deny the Pilgrims promotion four years earlier - scoring the only goal of the game as Altrincham won the last-ever match at York Street in August 2020.
