The 21-year-old's initial loan spell expired after Saturday's visit to Gateshead – in which the loanee scored his first goal in United colours.

Weston will now remain at the Jakemans Community Stadium for the remainder of the campaign after agreement was reached between the two clubs.

Elsewhere, Notts County goalkeeper Aidan Stone and Sheffield Wednesday defender Sam Reed have returned to their respective parent clubs at the conclusion of their own loan spells.

Both players depart with the club's thanks and best wishes for the future.
