Lee was nevertheless disappointed to see the Pilgrims beaten at Ewen Fields as two late goals took the match away from United.

The United boss bemoaned two ‘awful’ goals which put the Pilgrims behind early on and the decision by referee Ricky Wootton to penalise Nathan Stainfield for a seemingly clean challenge which led to Hyde's third goal.

Lee talked about assuming sole control of the Pilgrims — and ending the season on a high against Guiseley on Saturday.
