The 29-year-old has linked up with the Pilgrims for an undisclosed fee, having netted 19 league goals - and 21 goals overall - for the Quakers last season.

Hazel, who has enjoyed a prolific scoring career with the likes of Frickley Athletic and Whitby Town prior to his spell at Darlington, is eligible to make his debut against Rushall Olympic on Tuesday evening – and will wear squad number 14.

The former Chesterfield youngster is also a St Kitts and Nevis international, having made six appearances last season.
