The 20-year-old has joined the Pilgrims on loan until January, initially, having played most of his football north of the border for the likes of Rangers, Partick Thistle and Cove Rangers.

Weston has been a regular for the Rams in Premier League 2 – and marked his senior debut in the EFL Trophy with a goal in November 2023.

His long-term loan move is subject to final National League, EFL and FA ratification, with Weston granted permission to feature in all of the cup competitions for the Pilgrims.

Weston becomes Ian Culverhouse's seventh signing of the summer since the club's promotion to the National League.
