Presented at the league AGM — staged at the prestigious Celtic Manor Resort in Newport — United vice-chairman Neil Kempster accepted the cheque and title of ‘best health project’ on behalf of the club and the scheme courtesy of the acclaimed Active Pilgrims programme.
United defender Carl Piergianni and striker Dayle Southwell, meanwhile, were included in the Vanarama Conference North team of the year — with Solihull Moors’ Omar Bogle taking the top honour as the division’s top goalscorer and player of the year.
In further good news at Celtic Manor, the club’s matchday programme ‘The Pilgrim’ was named as the best publication in Conference North for a fourth successive season.
