Preview - Tamworth

Craig Singleton23 Aug 2024 - 11:29

National League North promoted sides Boston United and Tamworth will lock horns at the Jakemans Community Stadium on Saturday (kick-off 3.00pm).

United, as promotion final winners, and Tamworth, as champions, will go head-to-head in pursuit of their first victory of the National League campaign.

While United have suffered three successive defeats, Tamworth have collected an opening day point against Sutton United, before losing at York City and at home to Hartlepool United.

Manager Ian Culverhouse has reported no new injury concerns ahead of the Tamworth encounter as the Pilgrims chase their first home win since Good Friday.

Jake Lovelace (groin) and Kieran Coates (eye) remain sidelined.

The Pilgrims were beaten 2-0 at home by Tamworth in the early stages of last season – before securing a 0-0 draw at the Lamb Ground in January.
