The Pilgrims, off the back of Saturday's postponement at home to Buxton, travel to the Midlands to face a side eight points clear at the top and on a seven-match winning streak (kick-off 7.45pm).
Andy Peaks' side have continued the momentum from their Southern League title-winning campaign by firing themselves into a realistic position to earn back-to-back promotions.
They have won 11 of their 14 home matches to date – losing the other three (to Scunthorpe United, Alfreton Town and Banbury United).
United have a full squad to choose from, with the exception of goalkeeper Cameron Gregory (ankle).
Tamworth were 2-0 victors over the Pilgrims in the reverse fixture earlier in the season.
