Preview - Tamworth

Boston United go in pursuit of back-to-back home victories when they play host to newly-promoted Tamworth on Tuesday evening.

The Pilgrims entertain Andy Peaks' Lambs at the Jakemans Community Stadium (kick-off 7.45pm) following their excellent 3-1 home win over South Shields on Saturday.

Tamworth, meanwhile, picked up an eye-catching 4-1 win at Spennymoor Town on Saturday – having been narrowly beaten (2-1) at home by Scunthorpe United on the opening day.

The Lambs won the Southern League Premier Central in April, having pipped Coalville Town to the title on goal difference.

The sides have not met in league action since 2017-2018, although Tamworth did eliminate United, on penalties, from the FA Trophy last season.

United boss Ian Culverhouse is expected to select from a similar squad – with Ethan Sephton and Ryan Hand still ruled out.
