Boston United will contest the first part of their Bank Holiday weekend double-header when they travel to Scarborough Athletic on Saturday afternoon.

The Pilgrims make their first-ever visit to the Flamingo Land Stadium (kick-off 3.00pm) to face the newly-promoted Seadogs.

Not since 2002 when chasing promotion from the Nationwide Conference have United contested a fixture in Scarborough – with the reformed outfit currently working their way up the pyramid.

Jonathan Greening's side won the Northern Premier League play-offs in May, although ex-Pilgrim Ashley Jackson will miss Saturday's encounter through suspension. Fellow ex-Pilgrim Simon Heslop could feature.

For United, skipper Luke Shiels serves his own one-match suspension, while manager Paul Cox will check on the remainder of his squad fitness-wise following last weekend's disappointing home defeat to Chorley.

Scarborough are unbeaten at home since November 2021 and have beaten Hereford FC and drawn with Bradford Park Avenue in their opening two home fixtures this season.
