The Pilgrims head to promotion-chasing Rochdale (kick-off 3.00pm) as Graham Coughlan's side continue their quest for crucial points in the National League.
It will be United's first visit to Spotland, also known as the Crown Oil Arena, since December 2019, when Craig Elliott's side famously earned a 0-0 draw in the FA Cup second round. At that point, the sides played in League One and National League North respectively.
Dating further back, it will be United's first league visit since December 2006, midway through the club's fifth and final Football League campaign.
Coughlan will not be able to call upon Cameron Gregory (jaw), Mitch Roberts (ankle), Michael Bostwick (ankle) and Zak Mills (hamstring).
Dale were 3-0 victors at the Jakemans Community Stadium on the opening day of the season, with Devante Rodney on target twice.
