Boston United return to action at the Jakemans Community Stadium on Bank Holiday Monday to face Kettering Town (kick-off 3.00pm).

The Pilgrims will be aiming to record their first win of the campaign – and leapfrog their opponents in the process.

While United have gleaned two points from their opening five matches, Lee Glover’s Poppies have collected four points courtesy of a 1-1 draw at home to Bradford Park Avenue and a 2-0 home win over AFC Telford United.

United will welcome captain Luke Shiels back from suspension – and will check on the fitness of fellow defender Zak Mills, who missed out at Scarborough Athletic on Saturday due to illness.

Midfield duo Brad Abbott (heel) and Tom Platt (ankle) are unlikely to feature.

Last season’s corresponding fixture ended 3-2 to the Pilgrims on an action-packed afternoon which saw the Poppies suffer two on-field and two technical area dismissals.
