The Pilgrims will go in search of a much-needed victory following four successive defeats in National League North.
Striker Tre Mitford could make his home debut – against his former club – while Hull City loanee Billy Chadwick is in line to make his outright debut for the Pilgrims following his midweek arrival.
Luke Shiels is back in contention, having been named on the bench at King's Lynn Town on New Year's Day – with Ian Culverhouse reporting no new injury concerns.
The Tigers, now managed by Steve King, are 10th with 34 points to their credit to date – including four wins and three draws on the road.
Gloucester were 2-0 victors over the Pilgrims in August's reverse fixture at New Meadow Park. Last season's corresponding fixture ended 1-1.
