Preview - Farsley Celtic

Craig Singleton15 Mar 2024 - 16:47

Boston United are back in action at the Jakemans Community Stadium on Saturday afternoon when they play host to Farsley Celtic (kick-off 3.00pm).

Fresh from their 7-3 victory at Gloucester City – and subsequent midweek postponement at Banbury United – the Pilgrims are back on home soil as the National League North run-in kicks firmly into gear.

Kelsey Mooney and Jimmy Knowles did the damage at New Meadow Park as United returned to winning ways following back-to-back home defeats.

The 12 and 15-goal strikers, respectively, are expected to lead the United line once more against Clayton Donaldson's side.

The West Yorkshire outfit have collected 46 points so far this season, having collected five wins and seven draws on the road to date.

Farsley recorded a 2-0 home win over the Pilgrims earlier in the season, while last season's corresponding fixture ended 4-0 to the Pilgrims, with Billy Chadwick bagging a hat-trick.
