Preview - Curzon Ashton

Craig Singleton12 Jan 2024 - 10:41

Boston United are back in action at the Jakemans Community Stadium on Saturday afternoon with the visit of Curzon Ashton (kick-off 3.00pm).

The Pilgrims, unbeaten in five overall, will be gunning for victory to take them above Saturday's opponents, who have enjoyed a strong season despite losing manager Adam Lakeland to King's Lynn Town in the early weeks of the campaign.

Now managed by Craig Mahon, the Nash were 3-1 victors over the Pilgrims in October, despite a late Michael Bostwick reply.

United are hopeful of having key trio Zak Mills, Ethan Sephton and Martin Woods back in contention after their respective returns to training.

The Pilgrims' only definite absentee is goalkeeper Cameron Gregory, who continues his rehabilitation from ankle ligament damage.

Last season's corresponding fixture ended 1-0 to Curzon, who secured their first victory in Boston at the seventh time of asking.
