It will be the Cestrians' fourth visit to Pilgrim Way – with honours even so far with one draw allied to one win apiece.
Chester completed the league double over the Pilgrims last season, with their 3-2 win in Boston being followed by a last-gasp 1-0 victory in the northwest.
Calum McIntyre's side have started more slowly this time around – sitting three points behind the Pilgrims in the early National League North standings.
Chester have taken one point from their opening four away matches – a 1-1 draw at Spennymoor Town last time out.
United will check on the fitness of a number of players, including Zak Mills who sat out the Emirates FA Cup victory over Leamington with a knee problem.
