Preview - Brackley Town

Craig Singleton1 Dec 2023 - 12:10

Boston United begin their December schedule on Saturday afternoon when they head to Brackley Town (kick-off 3.00pm).

The division's two longest-serving clubs, with 11 play-off heartaches between them over the years, meet at St James Park – subject to a 10.00am pitch inspection.

Now managed by former AFC Telford United boss Gavin Cowan, the Saints are currently four places and one point ahead of the Pilgrims, who saw two points slip through their grasp at the death against Chorley last time out.

United manager Ian Culverhouse will be without the services of suspended full-back Jai Rowe and injured midfielder Martin Woods (hamstring).

Woods' fellow former Brackley man Sam Smart could make his United debut after signing from Buxton on Thursday.

Last season's corresponding fixture ended 1-0 to the Saints, who were subsequently beaten 1-0 in the return match later in the campaign.
