The 26-year-old, who has scored 86 goals in United colours since 2009, will fly out to Kazan in Russia on June 29 to take part in the prestigious tournament.
He will miss United’s first two pre-season friendlies — but is expected to be back in contention for the visit of a Leeds United XI on July 20.
United boss Dennis Greene told bufc.co.uk: "It is a real honour for Marc and we hope he enjoys a successful tournament.
"He misses the start of our pre-season schedule, but he is going to be training and playing regularly, so it does not present any major problems in that respect."
