Ross (26) and Newsham (25) were major players for the Pilgrims in 2011-2012 and they have both signed new deals ahead of the 2012-2013 season.

Ross arrived in November 2011 from Blue Square Bet North rivals Harrogate Town and thrived in the playmaker’s role, scoring four goals in 26 appearances.

Newsham, meanwhile, scored 21 goals to finish the season as the Pilgrims’ top scorer — in addition to scooping three end-of-season awards.

He also passed the 50-goal mark in United colours during the course of the season.
