The 26-year-old was stretchered off just 21 minutes into his United debut at Chorley at the weekend — and the damage has since been confirmed as an avulsion fracture and ligament damage to his left ankle.

He will technically remain on loan with the Pilgrims until New Year's Day but will be undergoing treatment and rehab with his parent club.
