The Pilgrims chalked up a creditable point at FC Halifax Town last weekend and will now be aiming for a maximum haul on home soil against the division’s bottom side.
The Robins, now managed by Matt Doughty, have only won twice all season (away at Stalybridge Celtic and at home to Worcester City) and find themselves 17 points adrift of safety with 10 games to play.
Adam Murray will check on the fitness of Jay Rollins and Karl Hawley, but neither are expected to return against Altrincham, with long-term injury victims Joe Burgess, Herve Pepe-Ngoma, Grant Roberts, Gregg Smith and Jason St Juste ruled out too.
Burton Albion loanee Charlie Gatter could return to the squad after missing out at The Shay.
The Pilgrims emerged victorious from this season’s reverse fixture at Moss Lane, winning 1-0 courtesy of Liam Agnew’s second half strike. The last meeting in Lincolnshire ended 3-2 in United’s favour (in October 2013).
Saturday’s match referee is Alan Dale and kick-off is at 3.00pm.
Updates for those not in attendance will be available on Twitter.
