Piergianni’s new contract ties him to the club until the summer of 2016.
Reflecting on the news, United boss Dennis Greene told bufc.co.uk: “We are delighted to keep hold of Pidge — and hopefully this is the start of an exciting summer.
“He was excellent throughout the season and it is fantastic news that he will be onboard for the next two years.”
