United chairman David Newton made the presentation to Newsham, who is only the third player to reach 50 goals for the club since 1990 — after Gary Jones and Darren Munton.
Newsham added goals 51 and 52 from the penalty spot during Tuesday’s 3-2 defeat to Worcester City.
