The 25-year-old’s initial three-month loan deal from Spalding United has been converted into a season-long arrangement from the Evo-Stik Division One South club.
Jones has made 16 appearances, 13 of them from the start, during his second spell with the Pilgrims — taking his overall United tally to 14 goals in 45 appearances.
Versatile United performer Conor Marshall, meanwhile, is poised to join Evo-Stik Premier Division side Belper Town on a month’s loan.
The Skegness-based player has made 120 senior appearances (and scored three goals) for the Pilgrims since his arrival from Brigg Town in January 2012.
